Itinerary

The following itinerary is what
was followed on this tour and that is suggested you visit the park, it will help you avoid
crowds and long lines… Although – doublecheck with the park regarding show times as they do change.

Order of Visitation

Time Place Activity
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM Independence Hall See a realistic copy of the Liberty Bell!
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM California Marketplace Visit the Wishing Well in the Fern Grotto Room.
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM The Berry Stand Concession stand in Ghost Town ñ and the original
Berry Stand!
11:30 AM – 1:30 PM Tour Ghost Town Spend a good portion of your day enjoying this
special area of the park. Although it is historic, you never know when it
might disappear for good.
1:30 PM – 3:00 PM Lunch Suggested Location is the Fireman’s Brigade
Barbecue and Calico Saloon. Healthier choices for food may be available at
Ghost Town Grill – but bring it to the Brigade for outdoor seating.
3:00 PM – 6:30 PM Calico Square Calico Mine Ride, Timber Mountain Log Ride,
Shooting Gallery, Butterfield Stagecoach, Funnel Cake Kitchen, Indian
Trails
4:30 PM Wagon Camp Wild West Stunt Show
6:00 PM Roaring Twenties Area See the Ice Show in the Charles Schultz Theater
(Don’t miss the rain curtain!)
6:45 PM Chicken Dinner Restaurant Make advance reservations if you’re with a large
enough group. Or take turns with a member of your group standing in line.
8:30 PM Mystery Lodge World’s Fair Pepper’s Ghost type attraction.
9:00 PM Kingdom of the Dinosaurs Don’t miss this Knott’s version of a
Disneyland-like “Dark Ride.”
9:45 PM Electro Blast Dancing Waters Show ñ Best viewing is on West end
of Reflection Lake. of lake.
10:00 PM – 11:30 PM Stroll the rest of the Park Wander around the Boardwalk Area, Fiesta Village,
Camp Snoopy – the smaller children have gone home and you’ll have this
area to yourself.
11:30 PM GhostRider The line for this ride usually closes ‡ hour
before the park closes, so be there in time to get in line. THIS RIDE IS
NOT FOR THE FEINT OF HEART. It’s a very rough old thyme Coney Island style
Roller Coaster ñ expect to die!
12:15 AM After-Park Party Have cocktails at the Radisson Hotel next door
before you head home ñ but don’t drink and drive! Stay the night and do it
all over again!
